ELLY’S Before + After

This project focuses on the construction documentation process, emphasizing the development of working drawings, models, and schedules. Through an iterative workflow, the evolution of a design is explored—from initial concept through modeling and drawings to final fabrication and construction. New technologies, particularly Building Information Modeling (BIM), are integrated into design documentation and digital fabrication, enhancing both efficiency and precision.

The relationship between materials, construction, fabrication techniques, and drawings is examined to understand their collective impact on the built environment. A historical and conceptual framework provides insight into how evolving tools, materials, and processes—from traditional methods to emerging digital platforms—shape design and construction. Craftsmanship and creative construction principles are considered as integral components of the design process, ensuring a seamless connection between concept and execution.
